It is with many mixed feelings that we are facing our last season in Alabama. It has been a wonderful 27 years. We have met many wonderful people, made countless new friends and had more unforgettable experiences than we can relate. Thanks to all of you hunters who have come to White Oak and Red Oak over the years. You have made it possible for our family to enjoy a wonderful lifestyle in which to raise our children and grandchildren. It has been a very strange experience for us not to be welcoming our first hunters of the season right now. 

We want to apologize for the lateness of this announcement. All summer we thought that we had an investment group who wanted the plantation and that they would continue to run it exactly as we did, only better, and there wold be no break in services. We were looking forward to making that announcement in August or September. Unfortunately, that fell through the first week of August.

In all good conscience, we felt that we could not offer any hunts, still hoping that one of the many other interested parties would offer a contract and want to close on it before hunting season. We didn't want to be in the position of having sold hunts and then having to cancel them and disappoint hunters.

As of this date, there are no offers on the table. Therefore, we are offering eight Three Day Hunts to some of our most loyal hunters who might still be looking for a last minute hunt and who might be interested in coming back to White Oak one more time. We don't feel comfortable offering any hunts after mid-January, just in case one of the groups that is still interested should offer a contract and want to close quickly.

All hunts will be based at White Oak and we will be hunting about 3,000 acres of White Oak and Red Oak property. We will have a maximum of 10 hunters per hunt.
